The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is the fastest car in India to touch the 2 lakh sales figure. It has achieved it in only 17.3 months of launch. The first product of the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment was launched in April 2023. The Fronx achieved the first one lakh sales in 10 months. But it took 7.3 months only to achieve the second one lakh sales, said Maruti. The vehicle has been hugely accepted by customers in TIER 1 and TIER 2 cities out of which NCR, Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, and Bengaluru rank high.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Engine
The Fronx is offered with two power plant choices, including 1.2-litre Dual-Jet Dual-VVT petrol: 89.73PS of maximum power and 113 Nm of peak torque, 1.0-litre Turbo Boosterjet petrol: 100.06 PS of maximum power and 147.6 Nm of peak torque. Where the 1.2-litre motor can be accompanied by 5MT or 5AMT, the 1.0-litre motor gets only 5MT and 6AT options.
CNG is also available with a 1.2-litre Dual-Jet Dual-VVT petrol engine. It produces a maximum power of 77.5 PS and a maximum torque of 98.5 Nm accompanied by 5-speed MT.
Fronx Features
The Fronx receives an LED multi-reflector headlamp with LED daytime running light, automatic headlamp control, LED rear combination lamp, shark fin antenna, and 16x alloy wheels. It has a 9-inch HD Smart Play Pro+ center touch screen with navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Arkamys sound system, climate control, advanced head-up display with navigation, 360-degree camera, and wireless charging.
Based on the Heartect system, the Fronx is fitted with infotainment systems, six airbags, three-point ELR seat belts, ESP with hill-hold assist and rollover control, ABS with EBD and brake assist and Isofix child seat mounts.
Price
Maruti Suzuki Fronx launched at a starting price of Rs 7,51,500. A top-end model priced at Rs 13,03,500 (Ex-showroom). It may be compared with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
