After the win against Delhi Daredevils, Sunrisers Hyderabad was looking to conquer Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 39. It was a heartbeat raising contest and SRH came out victorious by 5 runs. RCB bowlers did a great job but the batsman could not impress.
Tim Southee Struck Early In Match 39
Winning the toss, RCB elected to bowl first and RCB bowlers did not disappoint. Tim Southee dismissed Alex Hales in the third over. Moreover, the second opener Shikhar Dhawan was taken out before the powerplay overs. To conclude, the score of SRH was just 38/2 in the powerplay overs.
Kane Williamson Was A Threat For RCB Bowlers
After a couple of overs, Yuzvendra Chahal got rid of Manish Pandey. However, Kane Williamson stood like a wall and kept the scoreboard moving. Shakib Al Hasan partnered Kane to crossover the situation. They added 64 runs for the fourth wicket before Kane Williamson was dismissed by Umesh Yadav on the personal score of 56 runs in 39 Balls. Kane smashed 5 fours and 2 sixes in his inning. For this inning, he became the man of the match.
RCB Bowlers Dismissed The Entire Team Of SRH
Shakib Al Hasan scored 35 runs and helped SRH to keep the pace up in the death overs. By the end of the 20 overs, SRH was all out on 146 runs. Mohammed Siraj and Tim Southee struck 3 wickets each. Admittedly, RCB bowlers performed great.
Parthiv Patel Was Dismissed Early
After the amazing performance by RCB bowlers, it was time for the RCB batsman to turn the opportunity into the victory. Parthiv Patel lost his wicket to Shakib Al Hasan in third over. But thanks to Virat Kohli who filled the void. RCB knocked 55 runs in the first six overs.
SRH Bowlers Made A Comeback
SRH bowlers made a comeback and took four wickets before thirteen overs. RCB lost five wickets in 13 overs on a score of 87 runs. Virat Kohli, Parthiv Patel, Moen Ali, Manan Vohra and De Villiers were dismissed.
The Match Took A Thrilling Turn
In the last overs, Collin De Grandhomme played some big shots and brought RCB closer to the target. Six runs were required on the last ball and Grandhomme was on the strike. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar bowled him and sealed the victory for SRH. Sunrisers bowlers also performed well. Shakib Al Hasan took two wickets.
