Match 40 Begins with Rajasthan Royals’ Batting
Winning the toss, Rajasthan Royals decided to bat first. Ajinkya Rahane could not impress us with his batting and he lost his wicket early. On the other hand, Jos Buttler maintained his form and continued to punish the KXIP bowlers. RR scored 63 in the powerplay overs with a loss of one wicket.

After the powerplay, Buttler was turned out to be a nightmare for the KXIP bowlers. Before the end of the 16 overs, Rajasthan Royals scored 132 runs with the loss of three wickets. The fourth wicket fell in the form of Buttler who scored 82 runs in 58 balls hitting 9 fours and a six.

The start for KXIP was not good. Chris Gayle was taken out early. Within first four overs, KXIP lost first three wickets and the score was not even 20 runs. By the end of the powerplay overs, Kings XI Punjab managed to score only 33 runs with the loss of 3 wickets.
