After MI beat KXIP in the last match, Match 51, IPL 2018 was between RCB and SRH. The two teams collided at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. SRH won the toss and they decided to bowl first. Here are the list of events of the match as follows.

 

RCB Batting

 

RCB scored a total of 218 runs in 6 Wickets, 20 overs. AB de Villiers gave an outstanding batting performance today and scored 69 Runs in 39 Balls. He scored 12 boundaries and 1 sixers and has a strike rate of 176.92 followed by another powerful performance by Moeen Ali, who scored well. He scored 65 runs in 34 balls. Off which, 2 were boundaries and he struck 6 sixers. Colin de Grandhomme also scored 40 runs in just 14 balls and contributed well to the team.

 

SRH Bowling

 

The 20 over match was bowled by Sandeep Sharma, Shakib Al Hasan, Rashid Khan, Siddarth Kaul and Basil Thampi. Rashid Khan took the most wickets, 3. Siddarth Kaul took 2 wickets and Sandeep knocked out 1 wicket. Basil Thampi’s overs gave the most runs (70) and he did not take a wicket too. The bowlers gave off 4 runs extra (W 2, B1, LB 1).

 

SRH Batting

 

Shikhar Dhawan scored 18 runs off 15 balls. He scored 2 sixers but he was dismissed by c & b by Yuzvendra Chahai. Kane Williamson scored 81 runs off 42 balls with 7 boundaries and 5 sixers. Alex Hales scored 37 runs off 24 balls with 2 boundaries and 3 sixers. Manish Pandey scored 62 runs off 38 balls with 7 boundaries and 2 sixers (not out).

RCB Bowlers put pressure on the game and since their run was a good number to chase, their lack of performance didn’t matter as SRH hit the 20 over mark with only 204 runs. They could only take 3 wickets however. They gave 5 runs as extras (W 3, LB 2) but somehow managed to steal the deal. Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj and Moeen Ali each took one wicket.

 

RCB Seals The Deal By 14 Runs

 

RCB went first and scored 218/6. Though it was an exiciting match, SRH could not keep up and they fell short. They scored 204/3. RCB won the match by 14 runs. RCB is still alive in the competition. They moved to 12 points by this victory.
