Royal Challengers Bangalore is struggling on their way to the playoffs. In Match 53, RCB had a tough task ahead of it as they had to go through the mighty Rajasthan Royals. It was a do or die match for both teams and RR pulled off the victory by 30 runs.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat first. Umesh Yadav struck early as he dismissed Jofra Archer in the second over. The loss was critical but RR managed to heal and Ajinkya Rahane and Rahul Tripathi aided the inning. In the first six overs, the score of RR was 45/1.
Tripathi And Rahane Helped RR To Make Comeback
RR made a comeback after the powerplay overs and Rahul Tripathi continued smashing the ball out of the boundary. On the other end, Rahane accompanied him till fourteenth over. The score was 101/3 after 14 overs.
Tripathi Scored A Half-Century
In the death overs, Tripathi and Klaasen took the charge and played some big shots. Thanks to their effort RR pushed the score to 164/5 in 20 overs. Rahul Tripathi played an amazing inning. He scored 80 runs in 58 balls including 5 fours and 3 sixes. Umesh Yadav was the most successful bowler in RCB as he took 3 wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs.
Kohli Fell Early In The Chase
Kohli along with Parthiv Patel opened the RCB inning. Virat could not do much before he was dismissed. After the dismissal of Kohli, AB De Villiers came to the rescue. AB and Parthiv added runs together and help RCB to recover. After the powerplay overs, the score of RCB was 55/1.
AB De Villiers Tried To Save The Match
RCB was in a healthy condition, but thanks to RR bowlers, they put them on the back foot. They took wickets after wickets. AB seemed to be the sole savior of RCB but he was dismissed just after he completed his half-century. He scored 53 runs in 35 balls hitting 7 fours.
RR Bowlers Changed The Flow Of The Match
The RR bowlers dominated the late phase of the game and stole the victory away from RCB. Shreyas Gopal was the most successful bowler for RR as he took 4 wickets giving 16 runs in 4 overs. In the 19.2 overs RCB got all out on 134 and RR got the win by 30 runs.
