SRH delivered a very poor batting performance today. At the end of the 20 Overs mark, they had scored only 139 runs in 7 wickets. Shikhar Dhawan was out for duck. The highest scoring batsman of the match was Carlos Brathwaite who scored 43 runs out of 29 balls with 1 boundary and 4 sixers. Following him Yusuf Pathan and Kane Williamson both scored 24 runs in 29 and 15 balls respectively. Overall, their batting performance wasn’t that good.

The bowlers of the match were Deepak Chahar, Lungi Ngidi, Shardul Thakur, Dwayne Bravo and Ravindra Jadeja. They all bowled 4.0 overs each. Bravo struck the most wickets, removing 2 wickets. All the other bowlers removed one wicket each. Shardul Thakur gave the most number of runs as 50 runs were scored in his overs. They put good amount of pressure on SRH batsmen and reached the 20 over mark taking 7 wickets and with a total of 139 runs.

The bowlers for SRH were Bhuvaneshwar Kumar (3.1), Sandeep Sharma (3.0), Siddarth Kaul (4.0), Carlos Brathwaite (3.0), Rashid Khan (4.0), Shakib Al Hasan (2.0). Namely, Sandeep Sharma, Siddarth Kaul and Rashid Khan took 2 wickets. Bhuveshwar Kumar took one wicket. They couldn’t do much as CSK gave a better performance today.

Faf du Plessis scored a stunning 67 runs off 42 balls with 5 boundaries and 4 sixers. Following him, Suresh Raina scored 22 runs off 13 balls with 4 boundaries. The team scored 140 runs at 8 wickets down in 19.1 overs and got their victory. It was a nail biting match as the chase went on madly for CSK to get SRH’s score. Faf du Plessis saved the day!

It was a very exciting match to watch. CSK fans would have surely been on the edge of their seats during the chase. Tough luck for SRH, they couldn’t defend their score.
