Forbes just came out with their annual ranking for the World’s Most Powerful People. This was under critical analysis of each candidate’s influence, finances and if these candidates used these powers. From this list, there are 12 people from the industry of tech. Surely, the world has heard of them.
1. Jeff Bezos
Coming 5th on the overall Forbes’ list, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos was the first techie on the list. Awing many, he took his place above Microsoft’s Bill Gates. He is also the first to top $100 billion on the list!
2. Bill Gates
Although 7th on the list, Bill Gates is the second techie on the list. Gates has given away most of his stake in Microsoft and owns only 1% and yet, still makes his place on this list. Even though he is overtaken by Bezos, Gates held his place for 18 years.
3. Larry Page
CEO of Alphabet Inc, Larry Page is the third techie on the list. He is globally ranked number 10. It is also important to note that he co-founded Google in 1998.
4. Mark Zuckerberg
It comes as no surprise that Zuckerberg is on this list. Globally ranked 13th, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife have pledged to give away 99% of the stakes.
