Starc and Maxwell’s absence will be a blow to the Australian team, as both players are key members of the squad. Starc is one of the best fast bowlers in the world, known for his ability to swing the ball at high speeds. He has taken 219 wickets in 110 ODIs. Glenn Maxwell, on the other hand, is a talented all-rounder who can contribute with both bat and ball. He has scored 3,490 runs and taken 60 wickets in 128 ODIs.

Despite the absence of Starc and Maxwell, Australia will still have a strong team for the first ODI. In addition to Cummins, the team will feature several other talented players, including Steve Smith, David Warner, Mitch Marsh, and Marnus Labuschagne. Pat Cummins said,

“We have got plenty of people at different stages. I am feeling pretty good, my wrist is all healed now, 100 percent. I was running around at the nets, this afternoon. I hope to play tomorrow. Hoping to play all 3 games.”

“Trying to think of a long list. Starc is here, (but) he won’t play tomorrow. But hopefully, he will be available later on the series. Yeah, he won’t play tomorrow. But I hope he will come on and play a part later on. He had been bowling in Sydney. He will bowl today or tomorrow. We are all tracking him. The time frame is similar for Maxwell.”
