In retaliation, the participants in the yatra also resorted to stone-pelting, escalating the conflict further. According to media reports, the tension was exacerbated by a video posted on social media by a Bajrang Dal worker. The video allegedly had inflammatory content, contributing to the violent turn of events.

To prevent the situation from spiraling out of control, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad intervened and advised Monu Manesar not to participate in the procession. Their prompt action aimed to defuse the potential conflict that could have arisen due to his presence. Following the clashes, authorities imposed a two-day curfew in Nuh district to restore peace and order. Additionally, paramilitary companies have been deployed in the area to maintain stability. As a precautionary measure, schools, colleges, and coaching centers in Gurugram, Faridabad, and Palwal districts will remain closed on August 1.
