In a recent exclusive interview with Zee News, Monu Manesar, the infamous cow vigilante, made some startling revelations about his alleged connections with VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) and the recent religious procession that turned violent in Haryana’s Nuh district. Monu Manesar, a prominent figure known for his controversial stance on religious matters, was expected to attend the ‘Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra’ organized by VHP. However, amidst growing tensions and concerns over the potential escalation of violence, he decided to abstain from the procession, as advised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

Monu Manesar, previously wanted in connection with the murder of two Muslim youths in Rajasthan, has been in the spotlight for his incendiary statements and actions. In the interview, he defended his ideologies, claiming he never incited violence or promoted hatred. Nevertheless, his presence at the yatra could have added fuel to the fire, given the charged atmosphere surrounding the event.

On the day of the procession, a group of youths allegedly stopped the yatra near Khedla Mor in Nuh and began pelting stones, leading to a volatile situation. Cars involved in the procession were set ablaze, and police vehicles were damaged in the ensuing chaos. In retaliation, the participants in the yatra also resorted to stone-pelting, escalating the conflict further. According to media reports, the tension was exacerbated by a video posted on social media by a Bajrang Dal worker. The video allegedly had inflammatory content, contributing to the violent turn of events.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Swift Action
To prevent the situation from spiraling out of control, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad intervened and advised Monu Manesar not to participate in the procession. Their prompt action aimed to defuse the potential conflict that could have arisen due to his presence. Following the clashes, authorities imposed a two-day curfew in Nuh district to restore peace and order. Additionally, paramilitary companies have been deployed in the area to maintain stability. As a precautionary measure, schools, colleges, and coaching centers in Gurugram, Faridabad, and Palwal districts will remain closed on August 1.
