The idea is to illustrate and offer the audience a really realistic picture of what the future might be like. The museum is packed with futuristic technologies, kid-friendly displays, virtual tours, and a variety of other entertaining items.

The exterior of the modern structure is covered in Arabic calligraphy, and the interior is similarly themed. It is outfitted with cutting-edge digital and electronic equipment that allows visitors to engage in multi-sensory experiences. Each floor, according to one museum official, is like “a film set from the future that you can inhabit, investigate, and interact with.”

The museum is a seven-storey edifice that reaches 77 meters tall and covers 30,000 square meters. The 17,000 square meter steel front is lighted by 14,000 square meters of Arabic calligraphy. The Arabic calligraphy on the building has three quotations from Shaikh Mohammed.

1. We may not live for hundreds of years, but the products of our creativity can leave a legacy long after we are gone.

2. The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it.

3. The future does not wait. The future can be designed and built today.
