5. Laawaris (1981)
All time Highest earner of 1981, Laawaris became known for its famous song ‘Mere Angne Main Tumhara Kya Kaam Hai’. The story revolves around an orphan who stumbles over reality in search for his parents. The film is remembered for Amitabh Bachchan over-the-top acting and fiery dialogues using his all famous Bachchan-baritone, his charismatic and stylish screen presence.
6. Coolie (1983)
Coolie is notorious for a fight scene with co-star Puneet Issar, during which Amitabh Bachchan was near-fatally injured due to a mistimed jump. The film made over Rs 10 million per territory, a rare achievement for the time. The film became famous even before its release when Amitabh Bachchan was critically injured on 26 July 1982 in the intestines while filming a fight scene with co-star Puneet Issar at the Bangalore University campus, which almost cost him his life.
7. Agneepath (1990)
One of the most famous movies of Amitabh’s career is Agneepath. The title was taken from a poem of the same name called ‘Agneepath’ which was penned by Amitabh Bachchan father Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The character played by Amitabh Bachchan ‘Vijay Dinanath Chauhan’ is still popular among people. Agneepath has grown a strong cult film over the years. He received National Film Award for the Best Actor for Agneepath. It was tenth highest-grosser of 1990 but was declared as a FLOP.

8. Hum (1991)
Hum gave Amitabh Bachchan National Filmfare Award for Best Actor. With Superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajnikant and Govinda, Hum was declared as the blockbuster and was second among the top grosser of 1991. Song ‘Jumma Chumma De De’ is the very popular song in the film.
