Natasa Stankovic finally broke the silence on why she was away from movies and work for the last five years. But now she has finally decided to come back. In her recent interview, Natasa opened up about making a comeback in the industry and how she feels as a mother. When asked about her ex-husband Hardik Pandya, Natasa politely refused to discuss the separation with cricketer Hardik Pandya. It had been rumored that the couple was going through some marital issues for a while now, and they finally filed for divorce in July this year.
Natasa Stankovic Said, ‘Serbia Trip Was A Vacation’
Shortly after the divorce, Natasa went back to her native Serbia together with her son Agastya, making people believe that she had relocated to Serbia. However, the actress came back recently and stated that she is ready to work again as well. In an interview with Times Of India, Natasa insists that she and Hardik co-parent Agastya and clarifies that her trip to Serbia was just a vacation, not a migration.
In an interview, she stated that things are finally happening for her, and God has been kind to her. She also said that she is open to work, and people don’t know about her plans. Hence, clarity was indeed needed. On being asked about leaving India, she said that since her son Agastya goes to school in Mumbai, he belongs here, so there is no chance of a shift. She said,
“There’s a talk in the city that I am going back. How would I go back? I have a child. The child goes to school here. There is no chance, that won’t happen.”
Natasa Stankovic On Co-Parenting With Hardik Pandya
Natasa Stankovic talked about co-parenting. She said Agastya has a family here and that her son needs to stay with both parents. She also clarified that she has been traveling to Serbia for the last 10 years at the same time. She further added that she needed to work for both her and Agastya’s happiness. Therefore, she seems to have no regrets about being asked about the last four years. She said, “I have no regrets that I spent that time with my son, Agastya.”
“We (Hardik and I) are still a family. We have a child, and the child will always make us a family at the end of the day. I haven’t done that anyway because Agastya needs to stay with both parents. It’s been 10 years and I go every year at the same time back in Serbia.”
On being a single mother, Natasa revealed that she has learned to love herself. She added that she understood her worth as an individual while raising her son.
“I’ve learned to love myself with Agastya, by being with him. I understood that for the child to be happy, he needs me – as a mother – to be happy and mentally healthy. So, there was no way for me to fall down. I just had to stand and be like – Nobody can touch me, nobody can touch him. No matter what someone says, the moment, you know your worth, you know who you are, and you know that your heart is clean, nobody can shake you. I’ve reached that point.”
“I really needed to work. I feel that a mother needs to be happy for a child to be happy. That was one of the reasons I decided to get back to work. I missed that I didn’t do anything for the last five years. I have no regrets in life because I have my child, and I have given the time to him.”
By concluding the interview, Natasa said I want my life to be private and straightforward with just work. She says she is at peace with herself now and is also aware that everyone cannot like her. She also plans to write a book opening up about certain challenges she has faced at a certain point in her life.
