Iranian athlete Sadegh Beit Sayah suffered a massive blow. He missed out on gold as India’s Navdeep’s silver medal was upgraded to gold. They were in the category F41. This category is for those who are of short stature.
Navdeep Singh was upgraded with his best attempt of 47.32 meters. The Iranian javelin thrower, Sadegh Beit Sayah, was disqualified due to a violation of Rule 8.1 of the World Para Athletics Rules and Regulations.

The reason for Sadegh’s disqualification:
The exact reason for his disqualification has not been revealed by the Paralympic committee. However, there is speculation on social media platforms that Sadegh flaunting a cryptic flag after his victory could be the reason. The flag was all black. It had Arabic text written on it in a red color.

He stood second among six participants against him. He began the final with a foul because he lost his balance and crossed the line.
In his third attempt, Navdeep took the lead with a massive throw of 47.32 meters. He even broke the Paralympics record. Later on, Iran’s Sadegh Beit Sayah set a new record with 47.64 meters. However, his disqualification after the final stripped him of the gold medal.
