Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Minister of State for Civil Aviation VK Singh, virtually inaugurated eight new flight routes for Ayodhya.

These routes will connect Ayodhya to major cities, including Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Patna, Darbhanga, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

The Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple has renewed interest in Ayodhya spiritually and as a tourist destination. Eight new flight routes have been inaugurated to cater to the increased demand, strategically facilitating pilgrimage and travel. These routes connect Ayodhya to major cities like Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Patna, Darbhanga, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, enhancing accessibility. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to expanding operational airports in Uttar Pradesh under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Ayodhya Airport Showcases Rich Heritage
The city has developed Ayodhya Airport, known as Maharshi Valmiki International Airport, to reflect its rich cultural heritage. Artwork depicting stories from the Ramayana adorns the airport, offering visitors a glimpse into Ayodhya’s cultural significance, especially in connection with the Ram Mandir.
Doubling Operational Airports And Future Expansion
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the operational airports in Uttar Pradesh have doubled from five to ten. Union Minister Scindia announced that five more airports will be operational soon, bringing the total to 16 by the end of the year. This expansion includes the upcoming Jewar Greenfield Airport, positioning Ayodhya as a key hub for air travel.
Spice Jet will operate on these routes, further solidifying Ayodhya’s connectivity. The Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, inaugurated in December 2023 for Rs. 350 crores, underscores the commitment to modern infrastructure and increased accessibility. The airport serves as a gateway to Ayodhya’s cultural and religious heritage, welcoming visitors with open wings.
