New Tactics By TCS, Cognizant, Infosys And Others To Bring Back Employees To Office

After years of working remotely, major tech companies like Cognizant, TCS, Dell, Wipro, and Infosys are holding nothing back to get employees back in the office. From innovative apps to enticing incentives, this is the way they’re making it happen.

Infosys’ Flexible Methodology

Infosys is balancing flexibility with office attendance. Also, their InfyMe platform allows certain business units to request up to 11 work-from-home days per month. Since November 2020, junior and mid-level employees have been expected to be in the office for no less than 10 days per month. Therefore getting away from the traditional five-day long week of work.

Cognizant is leading the charge with a smart approach. CEO Ravi Kumar introduced two applications: a roster management application and the FlexiSeat application. The roster application assists managers with planning office days given business requirements. FlexiSeat allows employees to book their work areas ahead of time. With these apps, Cognizant ensures at least three days in the office each week, streamlining their NextGen program for a hybrid work arrangement.

TCS Pay-For-Presence Policy

TCS, India’s biggest IT firm, is using an alternate sort of approach. They’ve tied quarterly variable pay to office attendance. Show up under 60% of the time? No reward for you. Clock in between 60-75%? You get half of the variable pay. To earn a little more these methods push employees to work from the office. This approach strongly boosts employees to focus on office presence and highlights the organization’s obligation to in-person work.

Wipro’s Engagement Boost

Wipro is focusing on establishing a welcoming office environment. Rather than strict policies, they’re encouraging employee engagement. CHRO Saurabh Govil announced the formation of local councils to boost involvement and teamwork. More on-campus activities are planned to make the workplace a more attractive place to work from.

Dell’s Color-Coded System

Dell Technologies is taking a high-tech course with its attendance monitoring system. All these efforts are made to increase the attendance and number of days to work from the office. Utilizing electronic badge swipes, VPN tracking, and a color-coded framework, Dell guarantees employees are in the office. Blue means consistent on-site, green is regular, yellow is partial, and red is limited. This clear and direct system holds everybody in line.

Gone are the day where Covid-19 was the reason for such a shift. As these tech giants explore new options, their approach reflects a blend of innovation and flexibility. Also by blending remote and in-person work, they’re making way for a useful and comprehensive future.
