It is the time, Christmas is about to arrive and every one of us has been making wishes to Santa Clause. Many people play Secret Santa and trade gifts with friends but New Zealand has taken the game of Secret Santa to a whole new level. They are playing the game nationwide.
You will be surprised how they are playing this game for Nationwide.
Overseas friends, if you want some sheer joy in your life today, watch our tiny nation get their #NZSecretSanta presents. It’s the best.

The Secret Santa has become one of the traditions during Charismas in New Zealand. They play the game nationwide on Twitter where people share gifts with total strangers. They have an official twitter account for this game. First, the people have to go through the registration process which is free of cost and starts somewhere around November. More than 3600 people have been registered there.
Secret Santa Finds Suitable Gifts For You
After the registration, the people have to give their twitter handle so that their Secret Santa can check their likes and dislikes and find a suitable gift for them. It is an exchange of gifts which means if you receive, you should give. Unfortunately, this game is only for people in New Zealand.
Even The Prime Minister Is A Participant
So although my #nzsecretsanta didn't quite get there this year, a #SuperSecretSanta stepped up amazingly for me. Thank you so much, whoever you are!! @nzsecretsanta pic.twitter.com/ynnqp4CaeT

The fun thing about the game is that even the Prime Minister of New Zealand is a participant in the game. She uploaded videos featuring the PM unwrapping the gifts that she received. She received two gifts for which she considered herself lucky.

New Zealand holds a nation-wide secret Santa and my mystery giver gave me this mug, dedicated to the Prime Minister’s cat Paddles (made famous by @FirstCatofNZ), who died this year (RIP) pic.twitter.com/BSfmivSZGV
