According to a famous news reporter in Pakistan Afridi claims that he would not play for the IPL even if he was invited from any of the eight teams in the tournament. Afridi has been tweeting about IPL on a regular basis, in one tweet Afridi says “Even if they call me, I won’t go to the IPL. My PSL is the biggest and there will be a time that it leaves the IPL behind. I am enjoying the PSL, I don’t have any need for the IPL. I’m not interested in it and never was”

Afridi has chosen some wrong ways to promote the Pakistan Super League which is the tournament that is going to be held in the country. It is to be noted that Afridi once had been a part of IPL. He played for Deccan Charges once and hailed it. But that was the first and the last time when Afridi was seen in the IPL. Been playing in the IPL Afridi has said that it is the best tournament any cricketer could be a part of. It clearly is the most amazing foreign league, and it was totally worth the experience. Recently Afridi has said some controversial statements on Kashmir.

“Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self-determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?” Afridi had said in a tweet.
