Coronavirus has started affecting the people in India. Started from the Wuhan Province of China, this coronavirus has spread across more than 80 countries like Iran, Italy, South Korea, Japan and many more. This Coronavirus COVID-19 has taken the lives of 3214 people worldwide till now. A total of 28 confirmed cases are there in India as per Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Health Minister of India. Recently there were reports of two people in India tested positive for Coronavirus in Delhi and Telangana respectively. The scary thing is, the numbers are kept on increasing. Now, as per the recent report, another Indian tested positive for coronavirus is a Paytm employee.

Paytm is one of India’s leading digital payment banks. A Paytm employee who returned from the vacations in Italy, a country that is severely hit from COVID-19 is tested positive. He joined the office on Monday after he returned from the vacations in Italy. The employee is right now admitted to Safdarjung hospital. He was taken to the hospital on Wednesday. On Wednesday, Paytm has decided to shut down its office in Gurugram and in Noida for at least a couple of days, so that they can sanitize and fumigate the entire workplace. Paytm has also advised all its employees to work from home for the next two days.

As per the Paytm spokesperson,

“One of our colleagues based out of Gurgaon office who recently returned from Italy post a vacation has sadly been tested positive for Coronavirus. He is receiving appropriate treatment and we are extending complete support to his family.”

“As a precautionary measure, we have suggested his team members to get health tests done immediately. We have also advised all our colleagues to work from home for a couple of days while we get our offices sanitized. However, there will not be any impact on our daily operations and Paytm services will continue as usual.”
