Following his recent visit to Lakshadweep, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted photos from the area. The Prime Minister further appealed to the nation’s citizens to encourage travel to Lakshadweep. I gave snorkeling a try. It was a delightful experience. Additionally, PM Modi posted photos of himself strolling along the shore.
PM Modi Promotes Lakshadweep Tourism
In addition to the scenic beauty, Lakshadweep’s tranquility is also mesmerising. It gave me an opportunity to reflect on how to work even harder for the welfare of 140 crore Indians. pic.twitter.com/VeQi6gmjIM

For those who wish to embrace the adventurer in them, Lakshadweep has to be on your list.

As a result, inquiries regarding Lakshadweep tourism have surged, and the region is currently being debated in India and many other nations. People on social media are also interpreting the PM’s visit as a message for the Maldives, demonstrating their love for China and apathy toward India, even though the PM did not mention the Maldives in his tweet. Some claim that PM Modi is attempting to deal Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu a severe blow with this. All of this might, if not directly, then indirectly, cause issues for the Maldives.

After seeing PM Modi’s images, the Maldivian troll army became very agitated when several people expressed a wish to spend their upcoming holidays here rather than overseas. Even though the PM made no mention of the Maldives in the tweet, the trolls immediately began drawing comparisons between Lakshadweep and the Maldives.
Maldives Vs Lakshadweep: Netizens Discuss It Out
A user going by the handle @RazzanMDV posted images of the two locations and stated that Lakshadweep and we are incomparable. We provide opulent travel experiences as well as resorts.

Simultaneously, someone shared a photo of the Maldives with the X (previous Twitter) ID @alizaid1000, writing, “I think the Maldives is a more stunning place than Lakshadweep.”

A user going by the handle @xahidcreator posted a video of Prime Minister Modi and commented, saying, “It’s a great idea.” But to say that we’re in competition with you is a lie. How are these folks able to offer things that we do? How are you able to provide such cleanliness? The worst thing would be the stench of hotel rooms.
The move is great. However, the idea of competing with us is delusional. How can they provide the service we offer? How can they be so clean? The permanent smell in the rooms will be the biggest downfall. 🤷🏻♂️ https://t.co/AzWMkcxdcf

The Indians have responded to these tweets in a similarly appropriate manner. One in seven visitors to the Maldives is Indian, according to a post made by someone going by the handle @GoelViren. You’re going to get into problems if we come and stop spending. “You will notice the difference in a few years,” commented a woman using the ID @onlytwitter. I am pulling out of my Maldives trip.
1 in 7 tourist to Maldives are Indians. If we stop going there, they will have serious problems. They are dependent on us, and for us, they are nobody

You will see the results in coming years…

Other than that, a lot of people wrote a lot. “Brother, you guys have come in tension,” a person said. Do not fear, another person replied; we did not even mention the Maldives.
