Whenever we hear the word CEO we imagine power, control and leadership skills. Everyone knows the higher the rank the more responsibilities you will have. There are many Powerful CEOs who were fired from there jobs due to various reasons. Some of them could not achieve the desired goals while some of them abolished the company policies. Let us take a look at them
1. Gianfranco Lanci
The CEO of Acer, Gianfranco Lanci had to resign from his job in April 2011. It was due to the difference of opinion with the board of the company. According to an official statement from Acer, “On the company’s future development, Lanci held different views from a majority of the board members and could not reach a consensus following several months’ of dialogue.”
2. Mark Hurd
Mark Hurd was the CEO of HP. Back in 2010, he was forced to quit the job as he was accused of sexual harassment by an outside contractor Jodie Fisher.
3. Leo Apotheker
Leo joined HP in late 2010 but just after 11 months, he was fired in September 2011. He was replaced by Meg Whiteman who is the director of HP and was a CEO of eBay Inc.
