9. Indian Giant Flying Squirrel
Indian Giant Flying Squirrel is also known as Large Brown Flying Squirrel or the Common Giant Flying Squirrel. It is a species of rodent in the Sciuridae family. They are the flying membrane extends from their wrists to hind legs. They are mostly found in mainland Southeast Asia and northeastern states. These species are classified as Data Deficient by IUCN.
10. Indian Flying Fox
Indian Flying Fox is also known as the greater Indian fruit bat. It is a species of flying fox found mostly in South Asia. The face of his species resembles foxes. It is one of the largest bats in the world.
11. Hangul
Hangul is also known as Kashmir Stag. It is a subspecies to elk native to India. Kashmir Stag is found only in the Jammu And Kashmir valleys and in the northern Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh. In Dachigam National Park Kashmir, it receives protection but elsewhere it is more at risk. There were 3000 to 5000 Hangul in the 1940s. But according to the 2019 census, there were only 237 Hanguls.
12. Red Panda
The red panda is the only living member of the genus Ailurus and the family Ailuridae. It is listed as the endangered species. Red Panda is found in the western Arunachal Pradesh, in the forests of Sikkim, Darjeeling and some parts of Meghalaya. Red Panda is Sikkim’s state animal. You can spot Red Panda in protected areas like Singalila National Park, Khangchendzonga National Park, and Neora Valley National Park.
