After the launch of Realme 3 Pro around 4 months back, the Chinese smartphone brand comes up with two new devices in Realme 5-series called Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. They have skipped number 4 because, in China, they consider number 4 as inauspicious. The sale for Realme 5 will start on August 27, while the Realme 5 Pro sale will start on September 4 at 12:00 PM.
Realme 5 Specifications
Realme 5 has a 6.5-inch mini-drop screen with HD+ IPS LCD display and has 89% screen to body ratio. It does not have an AMOLED display. But the screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 AIE, octa-core CPU, 11nm process technology with up to 2.0GHz clock speed. Talking about the camera, Realme 5 series has Quad Camera set up. Realme 5 has 12MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, 8MP wide-angle camera with f/2.25 aperture, 2MP portrait camera, and 2MP macro camera at the back. It comes with 13MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. You can do 4K video recording at 30fps. Realme 5 comes up with the powerful 5000 mAh battery. The phone runs on Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.0

Realme 5 comes in 3 variants 3GB 32 GB, 4GB 64GB, and 4GB 128GB. The price of base variant 3 GB 32 GB is INR 9999 followed by INR 10999 and INR 11999 respectively.
Realme 5 Pro Specifications
As compared to Realme 5, Realme 5 Pro has a smaller 6.3-inch dew-drop display with FHD+ resolution and has a 90.6% screen-to-body ratio. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE processor, octa-core CPU, 10nm process technology with up to 2.3GHz clock speed. The main highlight of Realme 5 devices is their Quad camera setup. The Realme 5 Pro comes with a 48MP main camera Sony IMX 586 Sensor with f/1.79 aperture, 8MP wide-angle camera with f/2.25 aperture, 2 MP portrait camera, and 2 MP macro camera. It also has a 16 MP selfie camera, Sony IMX 471 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. In this also, you can do 4K video recording at 30fps. However, Realme 5 Pro comes with a little smaller 4035 mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 Flash Charging power. It has a USB Type-C port. Realme 5 Pro also runs on Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.0.

Realme 5 Pro also comes in three variants – 4GB 64GB starting at INR 13,999, 6GB 64GB priced at INR 14,999 and the last 8GB 128GB at INR 16,999.
