The Rebel Kid Apoorva Mukhija caught widespread attention when her past podcast recording regained popularity online. An FIR was filed against Apoorva along with judges Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and Jaspreet Singh because of the India’s Got Latent controversy.

The current internet sensation clip shows Apoorva discussing her online hate during her Untriggered segment with host AminJaz. She made it clear to her critics that they try to despise her no matter what she does, so drinking and abusing does not matter to them. “I decide how to spend this liver of mine and my cash, my friend.”

The rumors about her independent financial means received direct attention from her. Many people believe she is supported by a wealthy older man who finances her luxurious way of life or by her father, who provides her financial backing.

Apoorva said, “People hate on me for anything—for abusing, for drinking. Bro, it’s my liver, my money.” She further shared how people often speculate about her financial independence, making assumptions that she has a “sugar daddy” or that her father funds her expenses. Refuting these claims, she clarified, “My father works a government job. He has not traveled beyond Manali.”

The resurfaced video recently brought renewed attention to the abusive virtual stalking of social media content creators who face baseless criticism from various internet platforms.

Apoorva Mukhija also highlighted how trolling differs for men and women. She shared that whenever she posts about traveling with a male companion, people assume he is financially supporting her or that they are in a relationship. Many believe that if a man is with her, he must be funding the trip, completely ignoring the fact that both she and her friends earn through their work on Instagram.

Despite her 2.7 million followers, Apoorva pointed out that women on social media face intense scrutiny. She opted against calling it misogyny because she feared receiving extra abuse from trolls who would also call her a feminist.
