2018 starts with a bang. WWE Royal Rumble, first pay per view of this year and it was jaw-dropping. WWE’s annual PPV Royal Rumble took place and the show was one of the greatest.

Shinsuke Nakamura won this year Royal Rumble and as well as Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles retain their championship against Braun Strowman and Kane; and Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn respectively.

But the most OMG moment was when Ronda Rousey made her presence in WWE Royal Rumble and signed towards Wrestlemania. First ever Women Royal Rumble match was won by Asuka. Most of us were aware as no one was seen ready for the Emperor of tomorrow.

We have seen some surprise entrants and also equally surprising winners. The match card of the show was really impressive it was the main reasons the people were craving for the event.

 

The NXT champion entered the 30 Men Royal Rumble match

One of the surprises was to see the NXT champion Andrade Cien Almas in the Royal Rumble match. He made a great impact before being eliminated by Randy Orton. Another surprise was to see Hurricane in the match although he did not last long everyone was surprised when his music hit.

 

Rey Mysterio Is Back

After a long time, the ultimate underdog is back in WWE the best part about him in that he is in a killer shape. Rey Mysterio delivers a double 619 on John Cena and Roman Reigns before being tossed out by Finn Balor.

 

Nakamura Won The Men’s Royal Rumble

The final 4 were Balor, Cena, Reigns, and Nakamura. John Cena eliminated Balor when Balor hit a double stomp on Nakamura. John Cena then tried to eliminate Nakamura but ended up being eliminated in the process. That left Reigns and Nakamura as the final two. After a brief action, Nakamura hits the Kinshasa before tossing Reigns out of the ring. After winning the match Nakamura said that he will face AJ Styles in Wrestlemania.

 

First Ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match

The event also had the first ever royal rumble match. Lita, Torrie Wilson, Molly Holly, Michelle Mccool, Vickie Guerrero, Kelly Kelly, Miss Jaqueline, Beth Phoenix and Trish Stratus made a surprise entry in the Royal Rumble match. Besides that, the NXT Women’s champion Ember Moon ignited the crowd when she entered the match on no. 23.

 

Asuka Won The Women’s Royal Rumble Match

The final four women in the match were Asuka, Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Sasha Banks. The Bellas tossed out Sasha. Then Nikki eliminated Brie before getting eliminated by Asuka.

 

Ronda Rousey Joined WWE

Asuka was just about to announce which champion she would face but then an unfamiliar music hit and out comes the former UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey. Rousey made her intention clear by pointing out towards the Wrestlemania logo.

 

Beast Reigned Supreme

One of the main attractions of the event was the monstrous match among Brock Lesnar, Kane and Braun Strowman. The match did not disappoint anyone and it showed throat drying action and destruction. The match ended when Brock delivered an F5 to Kane before pinning him.

 

Other Matches

Bobby Roode retains the United States championship against Mojo Rawley. The USOs got 2 straight falls in the 2 out of 3 falls match. They successfully retained the Smackdown Tag Team championship against Benjamin and Gable. About the Raw Tag Team titles, The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) beat Jordan and Rollins to grab the title.
