Olympic Bronze medalist, ace badminton player Saina Nehwal has responded to the comments made on her by actor Siddharth on Twitter. Saina said that he could have expressed himself with better words. It all started when Saina Nehwal tweeted in reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s security breach in Punjab. The protestors have blocked the route and made Prime Minister’s convoy spend around 20 minutes on a flyover.

Saina Nehwal reacted to PM Modi’s security breach and expressed her opinion on Twitter. She wrote,

“No nation can claim itself to be safe if the security of its own PM gets compromised. I condemn, in the strongest words possible, the cowardly attack on PM Modi by anarchists. #BharatStandsWithModi #PMModi”

Replying to the tweet, Siddharth wrote,

Subtle cock champion of the world… Thank God we have protectors of India. 🙏🏽 Shame on you #Rihanna

Siddharth received a backlash from the netizens for his derogatory tweet on nations’ pride. However, Siddharth shared another tweet and clarified his stance. He wrote,

“COCK & BULL” That’s the reference. Reading otherwise is unfair and leading! Nothing disrespectful was intended, said or insinuated. Period.”

After netizens criticized the actor Siddharth for his remarks, now Saina Nehwal also gave her reaction to it. Speaking to India Today, Saina Nehwal said,

“I’m not sure what he meant… I used to like him as an actor but this was not nice. He can express himself with better words but I guess it’s Twitter and you remain noticed with such words and comments. If the security of the PM of India is an issue, then I’m not sure what is secure in the country.”
