Suruchi Indar Singh, representing India, also showcased her talent by reaching the Women’s Pistol event finals. With a score of 154.1, she claimed the sixth spot. In the Men’s 10m Air Pistol event, Amit Sharma was the sole Indian finalist, finishing in fourth place due to a missed opportunity. Italian shooter Luca Arighi emerged as the gold medalist in the event.
Promising Performances By Indian Contenders
Urvah Chaudhary secured the 26th position with a qualification round score 560 in the Women’s Air Pistol event. Sanyam, with a score of 571, stood third, while Suruchi claimed the fifth spot with a score of 571 in the qualification round. Abhinav Choudhary performed exceptionally well, securing a place in the top eight with a round qualification score 570 in the Men’s Pistol event. Shubham Bisla finished in 13th place with a score of 568.
Exciting Finals Await
The Junior Men’s and Women’s Skeet qualification rounds have also commenced. Ritu Raj Bundela, Abhay Singh Sekhon, and Muneek Batula compete in the Men’s Skeet event. While Raja Dhillon, Mufaddal Jara Deesawala, and Sanjan Sood are carrying India’s hopes in the Women’s Skeet competition. The second day of the competition will feature four finals, including Mixed Team Rifle and Pistol events.
