It is time to say goodbye to 2018 and welcome the coming year 2019 with flying colors. No doubt that every person will make some New Year resolution knowingly or unknowingly. Even the elder ones say to themselves that at least from next year onwards I should start saving or something like this.

But even though we make a New Year resolution, we miss it in the middle of the year.

Why?

Have you ever thought of the reason?

It is due to our common habit called procrastination.

I see this is the most contagious disease that everyone will have.

Every one of us is addicted to some kind of habits. Some will enhance our daily work productivity whereas some will make us vulnerable.  But it is the peak time to change our habits to prospect in life.

To have a great start in 2019, it is time to kick off some habits to make sure that 2019 will be very beautiful to you.

1. Drinking

I see that this habit became the most common thing, especially among youth. Even though it is known that alcohol is injurious to health, people still like to take. Just pose a question to yourself, “Why am I unable to give up this bad habit?” For sure, you will get the answer. It is definitely not possible to overcome any habit overnight. It takes some time. But with consistent perseverance, everything is possible.

2. Smoking

Yet another bad habit common among people is smoking. You may ask me, is this a bad habit? Let me tell you one thing. A person is called good or bad based on his characteristics. Similarly, a habit is called good or bad based on its effect on our lives. A person who drinks or smokes lose control over himself and commit terrible things. Not only that, it ultimately damages the person’s health.

Smoking not only affects your body but also affects surroundings. Tobacco smoke contains many chemicals that breathing even a little tobacco smoke can be harmful. It has harmful chemicals like carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide, ammonia etc. Of the more than 7,000 chemicals in tobacco smoke, at least 250 are known to be harmful and among the 250 known harmful chemicals in tobacco smoke, at least 69 can cause cancer.

So, don’t you think it’s time to give up this habit?

Whenever you have an urge to smoke, consider taking Apple Cider Vinegar. It has the ability to divert your mind away from smoking.

3. Not Keeping The Things Clean Around Us

Before saying Swachh Bharat, I say Swachh home. Be sincere to yourself while answering this question. How many of you keep your things clean? If the answer is no, then you should really think about it. Keeping the things in order and clean allows you to concentrate or focus on the work you do. You can think of cleaning your house with chemicals like Phosphates and chlorides or some fragrance liquid which changes your mood instantly.

4. Wasting Plenty Of Time On SmartPhone

Whenever I say something to someone to change, I make sure that I followed for some days and got rid of that. So, I am definitely eligible to say. Trust me, Smartphone waste plenty of your productive time. I used to have an app called Quora on my Smartphone exactly 9 months back. One day I realized how much time I was wasting and uninstalled. And yes, I didn’t open the website for many months. Now, I open it occasionally. Can you guess how I used that time? I read good books.

I started feeling inner peace. So, now you just analyze how much time you are spending on Smartphone? On what apps, you spend your time? After analyzing that, uninstall it and don’t go back to it. Replace that with some good habit which enhances your career growth. And you can happily reward yourself with your favorite food.

A gadget free day is the most beautiful day. Don’t trust me? Then check it with yourself. Once you figure it, you will definitely start using normal old basic phone.

If using an app is part of your job, then make sure that you use it only for job purpose.

5.  Stop Breathing Polluted Air

I know this is the most difficult one as it involves support from other people in the country. But I guess you can plan something inside your home. Air purifiers will make your indoor air pollution worse. Today many kinds of indoor plants are available which requires minimal sunlight or no sunlight. Try planting those plants in your home.
