Shahid Afridi, who had officially resigned from Test and ODI positions, say goodbye to his 21-year-old worldwide profession in February when he reported his retirement from the T20 form of cricket.
When cricketing relations amongst India and Pakistan are stressed, without a doubt, Virat Kohli-drove Team India made a splendid signal for the now-resigned Pakistan all-rounder, Shahid Afridi. The motion sent a major message – that even during a period of strife, sportsmanship and kinship between contradicting players exist. The Indian cricket group drove by Kohli exhibited Shahid Afridi, who resigned recently, with a Kohli ODI shirt with marks of Team India individuals on the back of it.
Pakistani columnist, Faizan Lakhani, transferred the photo of the marked shirt and tweeted it with an inscription: "Virat Kohli's shirt marked by Indian group, for Shahid Afridi, with a message always a pleasure playing against you."
The ODI pullover, with the number 18 and "VIRAT" imprinted on it, had the marks of the Indian captain, Yuvraj Singh, Ashish Nehra, Jasprit Bumrah, Suresh Raina, Pawan Negi, Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, R. Ashwin, Hardik Pandya and previous mentor Ravi Shastri, among others.
Kohli had an extraordinary message for the inconsistent Pakistan cricketer: "Shahid Bhai, all the best, always a pleasure playing against you".
Even these two countries are not in talking terms much but still this spirit of Indian Cricket Team is called Sportsmanship and getting appraised all over. Any special innings if you remember of Shahid Afridi do share with us in the comment below.
