Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Sonu Sood has been a knight in shining armor for many people. The actor has helped people reaching back to their hometowns. He also helped people stuck in different parts of the world as well. A person who mainly did negative roles in the movie is a real-life superhero. These days Sonu Sood is helping people with injections, oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders, and also in providing beds at the hospital. Many people ask for Sonu Sood’s help on a microblogging site Twitter. A Twitter user Pradip Behera asked for help in arranging a bed in a later deleted tweet at Brahmapur, Odisha. Below is the screenshot of the deleted tweet.

However, the official Twitter account for the District Magistrate and Collector, Ganjam, tweeted that Sonu Sood or his foundation did not contact them to arrange a bed for a person in need but seemingly took credit for it. There are no bed issues in Brahmapur. A tweet reads,
We don’t received any communication from @SoodFoundation or @SonuSood . Requested patient is in Home isolation and stable. No bed issues @BrahmapurCorp is monitoring it. @CMO_Odisha

Sonu Sood has responded to a tweet and said that he and his team never claimed to have contacted the DM. It was needy who approached them, and they arranged a bed for him. Since it was suggested on Twitter that he took credit for arranging a bed for a needy, despite never contacted the authorities. Sonu Sood provided screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation with a user. Sonu wrote,

To this reply, the Collector and District Magistrate, Ganjam wrote,
Our intention was not to criticise your system. We have our own TEAM GANJAM to ensure bed availability for patient which work 24*7. Still it’s our duty to investigate if any issues about bed availability. That’s why we cleared the facts. You and your Organization doing great job.

Many people have the question in their mind that why people delete the tweet after getting help. The reason is people keep on following up for providing help on Twitter. To avoid confusion, it is better to delete the tweet once the help is received. The misunderstanding has been cleared, and he is trying everything to help the needy. Sonu Sood has also launched ‘Sanjeevani – A Shot of Life,’ an initiative to encourage people to get themselves vaccinated against coronavirus. Well done, Sonu, you are doing outstanding work. The whole nation is with you.
