Steps To Share Your WhatsApp Status As A Facebook Story Effortlessly

One of the most well-liked features of WhatsApp is its story function. Many active Facebook and WhatsApp users frequently exchange the same photos or videos between the two platforms. Users may also seamlessly share tales from WhatsApp to Facebook via the messaging service owned by Meta, eliminating the need to manually update each app’s status independently. Now you can share WhatsApp Status as a Facebook Story.

Working Of The “Story” Feature

The stories feature on Instagram was first launched by Facebook (now known as Meta), with influence from Snapchat. After that, this function was promptly added to Facebook and WhatsApp, with WhatsApp calling it Status.

Just like Stories on Facebook and Instagram have a purpose, so does WhatsApp’s Status feature. Although Facebook quickly connected Facebook Stories with Instagram Stories, the company took its time bringing this feature to WhatsApp.

Users of WhatsApp can now post status updates straight to Facebook. You must link your Facebook and WhatsApp accounts to share your WhatsApp status directly to Facebook. Here’s how to do it:

  • First, connect Facebook to WhatsApp.
  • Go to Status after opening WhatsApp.
  • Click the three dots menu ( for iPhone: Privacy).
  • Choose “Status Privacy” and subsequently “Facebook.”
  • You can join your Facebook account by following the directions.

  • Make a status update for WhatsApp.
  • Select “Who can see my status updates” by tapping on it.
  • To share all upcoming status updates automatically, select “Always share to the Facebook story”.
• As an alternative, while creating a status, you have the option to choose to share individual statuses by choosing “Facebook” from the sharing options.

How To Prevent Facebook From Revealing Your WhatsApp Status?

  • Go to the Status tab after opening WhatsApp.
  • Click the three dots menu (for iPhone: Privacy).
  • After selecting Status Privacy, select Facebook.
  • Click Disable Facebook status sharing.
  • To confirm, touch Disable once more.
  • Your WhatsApp status will not be shared on Facebook when you disable the option.

Points To Remember

Only Facebook itself gives you the ability to manage who sees your shared WhatsApp status. This option isn’t available on WhatsApp. When sharing your status on Facebook, WhatsApp does not show the number of views it has received. In order to observe the viewership, you must visit Facebook Stories. Right now, Instagram Stories cannot receive direct status updates from WhatsApp. They are exclusive to Facebook sharing.
