Arvind Kejriwal has called a protest march to the BJP headquarters today, however, the political drama inside the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is catching everyone’s attention. Swati Maliwal, AAP MP, has made explosive statements about her alleged assault by Bibhav Kumar, former personal secretary to Kejriwal.
From Justice To Defense

Swati Maliwal compared to the ongoing conflicts with the ones for the Delhi gangrape victim, Nirbhaya. She accused her party of now defending an accused rather than battling for justice. “They are hitting the streets to save someone who deleted CCTV footage and formatted his phone,” she posted on X.
Tampering With Proof
Delhi Police have accused Bibhav Kumar of messing with CCTV footage and formatting his mobile to hide the proof. Kumar, a close aide of Arvind Kejriwal, has been arrested and is in police custody.
Swati Maliwal’s Personal Struggle
In her post, Swati Maliwal expressed her pain, referencing that if former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia were not in jail, she probably wouldn’t have confronted this present situation. Manish Sisodia, a prominent AAP leader, has been in prison for more than a year because of a money laundering case connected to Delhi’s liquor policy.
Swati Maliwal’s Assault Allegations
Swati Maliwal has confirmed that Bibhav Kumar slapped and kicked her when she visited the Chief Minister’s home on May 13. AAP MP Sanjay Singh confirmed the misbehavior and guaranteed that Arvind Kejriwal would take strict action. The BJP has denounced the incident, with Delhi BJP leader Sachdeva wanting Bibhav Kumar’s arrest. He asked Arvind Kejriwal to end his silence, highlighting the urgency for help from inside AAP for Swati Maliwal.
Conspiracy Claims
In the interim, AAP alleges a BJP conspiracy against Swati Maliwal, connected to an ongoing corruption case against her. Delhi Minister Atishi suggested that the BJP is using this case to target Swati Maliwal.
Arvind Kejriwal’s Stand
At a recent press meet, Arvind Kejriwal accused Prime Minister Modi of targeting AAP leaders, sending them to jail one by one. He scrutinized the arrest of his PA and indicated the future arrest of other AAP leaders.
BJP’s Reaction On Swati Maliwal’s Case
Sachdeva countered Atishi’s claims, pointing out that the incident involved AAP members, questioning how BJP could be blamed for internal party issues. The AAP protest march vows to be a tense event as pressures inside the party and with the BJP continue to rise.
