Swati Maliwal expressed her dissatisfaction with Dhruv Rathee. Also, she had tried to reach him to introduce her to the overlooked side. Swati Maliwal criticized Dhruv Rathee for claiming to be an independent journalist, while in her view, behaving like an AAP representative. Therefore she felt his video victim-shamed her and exacerbated the abuse and threats she confronted.
Points Overlooked In The Video: Swati Maliwal
The AAP Rajya Sabha MP, Swati Maliwal listed a few basic pointers she believed Dhruv Rathee’s 2.5-minute video missed:
- AAP’s U-turn after accepting the incident.
- The MLC report detailing her injuries.
- Selective release and formatting of the accused mobile information.
- The accused re-entered to the crime scene, possibly to alter the proof.
- Her long-standing support for the right issues and her bravery in visiting Manipur alone.
Swati Maliwal’s Intimidation And Legal Action
Swati Maliwal blamed the party leadership for threatening her to withdraw her complaint. She reported the threats to the Delhi Police, expecting quick action. She condemned the party’s effort to assault her, doubting their stance on women’s safety. Swati likewise clarified that the troublemakers were known if any damage happened to her.
Assault And Legal Actions
Additionally, Bibhav Kumar, a former PS to Kejriwal, was arrested on May 18 for assaulting Swati Maliwal at Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal’s home on May 13. Also, he has since looked for bail, and the court has requested a response from the Delhi Police. Therefore Swati’s trial features the dark side of political conflicts and social media’s power in igniting fire. Thus she is completely determined to stand her ground and look for justice.
