Lieutenant Swati Rathore will be creating history by leading Flypast Parade on the Republic Day ceremony at Rajpath in Delhi. This achievement by Swati Rathore will be proof of women’s empowerment in the nation. It shows that hard jobs are not meant for men; women also can achieve. The statement is becoming true only because of her parents, who helped in achieving her dream. In the news, her proud father, Dr. Bhavani Singh Rathore, says,
“My daughter has let me hold my head high. I am overwhelmed as the dream which she saw has turned into reality.”
Even Bhavani Singh Rathore, a Deputy Director in the State’s Agriculture Department, also asked all parents to help their daughters achieve their dream.
Swati Rathore Personal Life
Swati was born in a small village in Rajasthan’s Nagaur district and studied in Ajmer schools. Her patriotism was seen in her childhood itself when she sketched tricolor in a school competition. Her parents supported her and allowed her to pursue her dream by joining her in the NCC air wing. She attended Air Force Common Admission Test held in 2013 and cleared it in the first attempt while her brother is in the Merchant Navy.
Swati reported that around 200 female students appeared from all over the nation, out of which 98 are selected for next level screening. Finally, 5 students are selected from which she was selected for flying. Her mother, Rajesh Kanwar, is also very supportive in achieving her dream. Rajesh Kanwar said that she has never treated her son and daughter differently.
Vasundhara Raje And Sachin Pilot Praised Swati
After this announcement, there is a lot of appreciation streaming on the internet, and state leaders also praised her achievement. Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said in the tweet,
“It is a matter of pride for all of us that the daughter of Veerbhoomi #Rajasthan and Flight Lieutenant of Air Force #SwatiRathore will lead the ‘FlyPast’ in the parade on Rajpath on the occasion of Republic Day. I wish her a bright future!.”
Also, Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot praised Swati Rathore. He wrote,
“My best wishes to Flight Lieutenant Swati Rathore, of the Indian Air Force, who will be the first woman to lead the flypast in the Republic Day parade this year. By this achievement, she has not only enhanced the pride of the state but has also set a unique example of women empowerment.”
Dreamers are always setting the milestone in every field. Dream big and run for it. Women’s empowerment is still in words and speech in our country. It is mainly used for debate and screaming to make it news. There are only a few who truly break the barrier and showed their skills and powers. They are the inspiration for all girls; Swati Rathore is one among them.
For every achievement, there will be a supporting person behind that victory. Parents play a major role. They should encourage their children and support them if they dream of an odd one. Swati’s parents did the same, which makes her fly high now. Best wishes to Swati Rathore.
