Taylor Swift and Matty Healy, who was recently rumored to be romantically involved, were seen together on Thursday at Casa Cipriani in New York City. According to the witness, the two were seated next to each other on a banquette in the lounge area.
Images circulated on social media showed the two holding hands. The caption read, “Swiftie’s dad took this picture just a few minutes ago, and he sent this in our group chat. Matty and Taylor are together – confirmed!!” However, no comments have been made by them on these rumors.
The dating rumors about the two began spreading when PEOPLE confirmed Taylors’s breakup with actor Joe Alwyn. The reason for the split was due to “differences in their personalities.”
Matty Healy, on the other hand, has had his fair share of love affairs. The ‘1975’ singer was in a relationship with FKA Twigs for almost three years until splitting up in early 2022. From 2015 to 2019, he was also romantically involved with model Gabriella Brooks.
Reaction Of Taylor Swift’s Fans
Swift’s supporters became dissatisfied with this supposed “confirmation” of Swift and Healy’s relationship in the comments section.
“Why is she putting me through hell again?” one individual asked.
“This is one of the top three worst [sic] moments in Swiftie history,” said another.
“I’m going to cry like for real,” one commenter wrote. “I’m going to have an aneurysm,” remarked another.
Several people requested that the “intrusive” photos be removed, while others cited Healy’s recent history of problematic comments.
Matty Healy’s Controversy
Matty Healy received criticism for his appearance on The Adam Friedland Show podcast in February of this year. During the interview, Healy and the hosts, Adam Friedland and Nick Mullen, made various derogatory comments about women and mocked the indigenous Scots language, as well as Chinese and Hawaiian accents, which sparked outrage.
In addition to the above offending remarks, Matty Healy encouraged the hosts to make impressions of Japanese people working in the concentration camps and even joined in, which generated additional criticism.
