‘Don’t Believe We Are Favorites,’ Rohit Declares
Rohit said that we don’t believe we are favorites. He said,
“It is for the outside world to create those scenarios. You have to play well. All teams are here to compete hard. There is some advantage to playing at home but nothing more. All these teams have played in India a lot. So no such thing as favorites or underdogs. This (Asia Cup) is the right tournament to perform well, test ourselves under pressure and respond. That is how it has been in previous World Cups as well.”
Rohit’s Stance On Lack Of Senior Part-Time Bowlers
According to Rohit, India wants their hitters to be versatile, which is why the numbers have increased so much in recent games. Rohit said,
“It is not that we sleep thinking we are playing in one position, and then in the morning, he is asked to play somewhere else. This is not some club game; this is international cricket, and players have been told that they need to play in different positions.”
KL Rahul’s Injury
Rahul’s present injury is distinct from the significant injury that ultimately led to the need for thigh surgery, Ajit Agarkar had said.
