It has gone one year that Tata launched its complete electric car Tata Nexon EV and currently, it is the best-selling electric car that has sold 3000 units in one year. Still, there is a deficiency of charging stations in India to cope with the larger number of electric cars coming in India. Without talking about Tesla, there is no electric car. Elon Musk, one of the world’s richest men, recently confirmed the opening of a manufacturing unit in India. The more important thing is it can be expected to happen in two years. Here are the list of Tesla cars and their pricing in India.
Tesla Model 3
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari confirmed that Tesla’s bestselling and most affordable electric car, Model 3, will reach the Indian Market in 2021. It will be imported in large numbers to be sold directly in India. As for now, being without a manufacturing unit, Completely Built Units of Tesla will reach the Indian market with a slight increase in its price to the range of 55 lakhs to 60 lakhs. The car is featured with the capacity of charging as quickly as 15 minutes to withstand a range of 500kms, and its top speed is 162kmph. Tesla Model 3 is coming with well-performing features like dual-motor all-wheel-drive, uberturbine wheel, controlled brake system to have better control in all. It has a high acceleration rate from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds. 360-degree cameras are installed for maximum visibility. Ultrasonic sensors are there to detect nearby objects. Radar to view distant objects. It is coming with 14- speaker sound system and autonomous driving features.
Tesla Model S
After Model 3, the Tesla Model S is debuted in the Indian market as per Business Standard with a little more premium model. The three different variants of the Tesla Model S are 75D, 100D, and P100D, and its estimated price is Rs 1.5 crore. It becomes the first luxury sedan available at this rate, and its competitors in India are BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. It is featured with fast charging capacity in lesser time and can run up to 412 miles. More than 20,000 superchargers are available on popular routes. It has a 17’’ cinematic center display with 2200×1300 resolution. Tesla Model S has three variants such as Long Range, Plaid, and Plaid+. Long Range is coming with Dual Motor, an all-wheel-drive platform, with a quick speed of 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. The Plaid variant comes with a Tri-Motor. It has an all-wheel-drive platform with an acceleration range of 0-60 mph in 1.99 seconds and can drive for 390 miles in single charging.
Tesla Model X
The upgraded Tesla Model X will be coming soon in India in the price range between $89,990 and $119,990. It is the SUV with the choice of 5,6 or 7 seat configuration, wireless gaming option, wireless charger, 22-speaker best audio system, with quick charging facilities, and can run for up to 360 miles. It also has variants like Long Range and Plaid with a quick speed of 0-60 mph in 3.8 and 2.5 seconds.
