2. Mahendra Singh Dhoni
MS Dhoni captained the India National Cricket Team in limited-overs format from 2007 up until 2016 and in Test cricket from 2008 to 2014. He is considered to be the captain of the most successful Indian team. It was under his captaincy that India had won all the 3 trophies (World Cup, World T20, and Champions Trophy).
3. Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli is currently the captain of the Indian National Team. Holding the world record of being the fastest batsman to ever have 10,000 to 11,000 runs in ODI cricket, he is regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the world. He is also considered as the most successful Indian captain. Aside from being the captain of the Indian National Cricket Team, Virat Kohli also leads his IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore.
4. Sourav Ganguly
‘Dada’ which means older brother in Bengali, is how the cricket fans call him. He is also considered to be one of the most successful captains in the history of cricket. During his captaincy, India won 21 out of 49 Test matches. Best known for his long sixes, Sourav Ganguly was awarded the Padma Shri award for his outstanding contribution to cricket.
5. Yuvraj Singh
Yuvraj Singh is a well-known left-handed batsman. He also excels with his spin bowling. He is the first all-rounder to score 300 plus runs and take down 15 wickets in a single World Cup. In fact, he was even hailed as the Man of the Tournament in the ICC Cricket World Cup back in 2011. Yuvraj is the son of Yograj Singh who used to be an Indian fast bowler and a Punjabi movie star.
