Social media has taken over the world in ways unexplainable. From leaving their houses to putting their lives at risk, people across the globe have tried all ways to get fame on the internet. From intentional attempts to unintentional mishaps, social media apps have often been a reason for lost lives. Anvi Kamdar, a 27-year-old influencer from Mumbai, tragically perished after unintentionally slipping down a 300-foot-deep ravine next to the well-known Kumbhe waterfall in Mangaon, Raigad district. The travel influencer was shooting a reel near the valley when she slipped and fell.
Travel Influencer Anvi Kamdar Cause Of Death
During a monsoon trip with her seven pals on July 16, Kamdar was taking a reel when the incident happened. A police officer from the Mangaon station stated that Anvi Kamdar went to the beautiful waterfall with her pals to enjoy the rainy season. Speaking about the event, a Mangaon police station officer said that she was taken to the neighboring Mangaon Taluka Government Hospital, where she sadly passed away during treatment after police and local rescuers were notified by her friends.
The Maharashtra State Electricity Board employees, the Coast Guard, and the Kolad rescue squad all assisted the rescue crew. “As soon as we reached the spot, we realized that the girl had fallen nearly 300-350 feet. Even after reaching her, it was difficult to get her up, as she was injured and it was raining heavily. So we decided to get her out using a vertical pulley,” a rescuer stated.
