The Unnao rape case is gaining the heat. The prime accused, the BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar has been taken to the CBI custody. And now the police have made the second arrest by taking a woman named Shashi Singh in the custody.
Shashi Singh Lured The Victim
According to victim’s mother, Shashi Singh lured her daughter and led her to Sengar’s residence where the BJP MLA raped her.
What Happened In Unnao Rape Case
If you are now aware of the Unnao Rape case, we would like to let you know that back in June 2017, a minor girl was raped in Unnao District. The accused is a BJP MLA. And from June 2017 to April 2018, the victim’s family allegedly went to the police but they took no action.
Police Took Biased Action
The victim’s family got involved in a fight against the family of the accused and victim’s father was beaten up badly. Both of the families complained to the police but police took biased actions and arrested victim’s father.
The Victim Attempted Suicide
The victim reached the residence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. She attempted suicide there and accused him of protecting the accused. Her father was in the police custody at that time he suffered abdominal pain and was rushed to the hospital where he died. Six police officers were suspended following the death of victim’s father.
CBI Took The Charge
On 11 April, UP Government ordered the police to hand over the case to CBI. CBI wasted no time in Unnao rape case and took the accused into custody last night.
Allahabad High Court Thrashed UP Government And UP Police
The Allahabad High Court thrashed UP government and UP Police for their inactivity in this case. Chief Justice Dilip Bhosale and Justice Sunit Kumar said.”The disturbing feature of the case is that the law and order machinery and the government officials were directly in the league and under the influence of Kuldeep Singh. The prosecutrix and her family members have been running from post to pillar but her complaint was not registered, despite approaching the chief minister. The influence of the accused is such that the circle officer also declined to lodge the report on the complaint duly forwarded by the office of the chief minister.”
