According to authorities, former Gujarat agricultural minister Vallabhbhai Vaghasiya died when his automobile collided with a bulldozer, consequently leading to an accident in Savarkundla town in the state’s Amreli district.

An employee at the Vanda police station said that the collision took place on Thursday night.

And when the accident occurred at 8.30 p.m. near Vanda village on a state route while he was returning to Savarkundla from a hamlet. One person in the car with him, according to the police officer, was hurt.

The former minister was injured when the automobile he was driving collided with a bulldozer. According to the officials, he was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

People’s Reactions

Following the accident, a vast number of party leaders and supporters arrived at the hospital. Mahesh Kaswala, the incumbent BJP MLA from Savarkundla, stated,

“Former MLA of Savarkundla seat and ex-minister V V Vaghasiya died in a road accident. The leader who worked as a skilled organizer and a mass leader and served the people of Amreli is no more with us. We pray for his departed soul and strength to his family to bear the loss.”

During the initial tenure of Vijay Rupani’s government, Vallabhbhai Vaghasiya was the minister of agriculture and urban housing. Vaghasiya was elected as a BJP MLA from Savarkundla in 2012 and got sworn in as a minister in the Vijay Rupani cabinet in 2016.
