Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Indian Railways first Vande metro train on September 16, 2024. The first one-day metro train will run between Bhuj and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The Vande Metro Train, built on the Vande Bharata Express platform, is a self-propelled train that is said to be introduced for short-distance intercity travel. Like any other metro train, it will attain a maximum speed of 130 kmph. The Train is fully air-conditioned, which is for the comfort of passengers.
What Is Vande Metro?
With these world-class features, Vande Metro has been built to reduce the traveling time of the passengers. On Monday, the first rake will be put to service. It is manufactured at ICF, Chennai. Similar to metro trains, passengers will be allowed to sit and stand for their comfortable journey. Let’s check out the features of the new Vande Metro Train.
Features Of Vande Metro Train
One day Metro trains will be convenient for the passengers. It will reduce travel time and give you a comfortable journey. Some of the features of the Vande metro train are as follows.
- Vande Metro Train is capable of attaining up to 130 kmph. Compared with Vande Bharat trains, Vande Metro will also have faster acceleration. Overall, it will reduce your travel time.
- According to the Indian railway officials, the capacity of the Vande Metro setting is 16 coaches. Vande Metro will be seated to 1150 passengers; additionally, 2058 passengers will be traveling standing in the train.
- The Metro will have automatic doors for passengers at entry/exit levels. Each one-day Metro coach will have four automatic doors.
- Vande Metro is a fully air-conditioned train for the common man. The travel driver’s cabin at each end of the train will also be air-conditioned. The train will have lightning and avoid panoramic windows.
- The more features to add, the new Vande Bharat coaches will have light aluminum racks for the passenger to keep their luggage safely.
- The train will have a charging point with sockets for the convenience of the passengers.
- The new one-day metro train will have CCTV cameras, a public information system with LCD, and a route indicator display to help passengers know about the places.
- This new train will have a bio vacuum toilet similar to Vande Bharat express trains. The modular toilets are automatic, and the train will also have a disabled-friendly toilet.
- Similar to Vande Bharat trains, the new Vande Metro trains will come with an indigenous Kavach anti-train collision system for the safety of passengers.
Bhuj-Ahmedabad Vande Metro Schedule
Bhuj Ahmedabad Metro, with train number 94802, will depart from Bhuj at 5:05 AM, and it will take 5 hours and 45 minutes to reach Ahmedabad. The train will reach Ahmedabad at 10:50 AM.
