Virat and Gambhir have also been in an argument before. However, after the match in Lucknow, the two players were each fined 100% of their match fees. This also pertains to a level 2 violation of the IPL Code of Conduct. It was a violation of Article 2.21 by both Kohli and Gambhir. This also includes inappropriate remarks, disorderly public actions, and public acts of wrongdoing. It was a violation of the objectives of the game. For a level 1 violation of the same article, Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq will also pay 50% of his match fee.
