With Amitabh Bachchan‘s name as her middle name, actor-politician Jaya Bachchan got upset with Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh in the Parliament today. She paused to point out to everyone that she was a unique individual as well.

Harivansh called her on Monday to speak at a session of parliament, saying, “Shrimati Jaya Amitabh Bachchan ji, please.” “Sirf Jaya Bachchan bolte to kaafi hojata (It would have been enough to call me Jaya Bachchan),” Jaya retorted. However, it was noted that’s the officially registered name.
She said, “Ye jo hain kuch naya tarika hain ki mahilaayen apni pati ke naam se jaani jaye. Unka koi astitva nahi. Unki koi upalabdh hi nahi hain, apne mein aur astitva nahi hain. Ye jo naya shuru hua hain, I just…” It was seen, nevertheless, that her name appeared on the page with her actor husband’s name as well.
Singh continued, correcting himself, calling the actress “Shrimati Jaya ji.”

The actress and member of Parliament expressed her opinions over the UPSC student’s death in Old Rajinder Nagar during her speech in Parliament. She expressed her suffering as a “mother and grandmother” and stated, “It’s a very painful incident and we should not bring politics into the matter.”

Fans responded strongly to the situation, while some applauded her others brutally trolled her.
In response to the video, some fans called her “brave.” “No but why Amitabh got added? If she has not added then who did…or it is happening for everyone.” inquired one. “She’s not wrong in any sense btw.” said a second person.
Not understanding her point, a fan pointed out misogynistic remarks, writing, “People today are so selective. Had there been any other woman in her place, the comments would have supported her.
