A big fire broke out on Tuesday morning at a plyboard business in Delhi‘s Gandhi Nagar market. 21 firefighters are on the scene to extinguish the flames. Footage from the scene showed fire and rescue officials attempting to extinguish the fire inside the business, which was overwhelmed by black smoke. Even though the fire was put out, it will still take the firefighters some time to extinguish it completely. There were no reports of any fatalities or injuries as of right now. The Owner’s Stance
The shop’s owner, Amandeep, claims that the fire started on Wednesday around 3.30 AM. He said that the fire services department received at least 10 distress calls. According to reports from the news agency ANI, he stated,
“I received a phone call from my brother 15 minutes after the fire broke out. I was asleep. The fire started somewhere in the shop’s rear. We asked the police for help and firefighters soon arrived to douse the blaze.”
What Does The Fire Officer Say About This?
According to Fire Officer Rajendra Atwal, who spoke to ANI,
“The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. The fire is under control but will take some time to douse off since plywood is involved. A fire call was received at 4:07 am. A total of 21 fire tenders are at the spot.”
