Earlier, Indian skipper Mithali Raj won the toss and elected to bat first. India was off to a flying start and at one moment India was 96 for 1 in 21 overs. However, a middle-order collapsed and India was reeling down to 114 for 6 in 33.1 overs. But thanks to Pooja Vastrakar and Sneh Rana’s brilliant partnership of 122 runs that took the momentum from Pakistan. Both have scored half-centuries and India scored 244 for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs. Pakistan was never in a chase as they were kept losing wickets in regular intervals. In the end, the score was too much for Pakistan and India won the match by 107 runs. India will next play against New Zealand on March 10.
