Why Should One Drink Water?
Caroline explains that water is water. She states, “As long as it’s safe to drink choice, and one that you can afford and access, that’s going to be what your (body) needs.” However, more than the type of water you drink, you must drink enough water. Allegedly, around 100 ounces of water daily is idle for adults. This is nearly 9-13 glasses per day.
Moreover, it is essential to note that we get some of our daily water requirements from the fruits and beverages we consume daily. But that should comprise only one-third to one-half of your daily water intake.
Caroline says, “If you’re not intentionally adding water to your day, There’s a good chance you’re dehydrated.” Some other symptoms of dehydration are Fatigue, Chills, Constipation, Dizziness, Muscular Cramps, Confusion, Migraines, and other health problems.
Furthermore, water helps in maintaining the body temperature. It also cushions the joints and protects the spinal cord and tissues. Drinking regular water is crucial, and Caroline recommends making this a habit. She suggests,
“Finding something you do every day that you can incorporate water into.” further added, “Adding a new habit is difficult, but adding a habit into an existing routine is less difficult.”

If you have specific nutrition objectives, enhanced water, such as mineral water, can prove to be fruitful for you. This can help with achieving the tiny portions of the goals. Moreover, water containing electrolytes can benefit athletes or those who are recovering from diseases. However, all improved waters are the same.
Caroline says, “If it’s something you want in your diet, look for around 20% daily value.” She added, “If it’s something you don’t want in large quantities, you want it to be less than 5%.”
Alkaline water has a higher pH than regular water. Therefore, it is more hydrating than regular water. Based on the Safe Drinking Water Act, the EPA has established criteria for pollutants in our water. However, scientists are learning more about PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds known as “forever chemicals” due to their persistence in the environment and possible danger. That can cause various health issues like cancer, thyroid illness, high cholesterol, pregnancy-induced hypertension, and low birth weight.
