Would you believe us if we say that a 14-year-old ‘can’ work in fact ‘will’ work in Elon Musk‘s SpaceX? Yes, you heard it right, and we are not kidding. Kairan Quazi is about to achieve what most of us can only dream of. On his LinkedIn profile, Kairan recently announced his accomplishment and stated,

“Next stop: SpaceX! I will join the coolest company on the planet as a Software Engineer on the Starlink engineering team. One of the rare companies that did not use my age as an arbitrary and outdated proxy for maturity and ability.”

He also applauded the SpaceX engineers for running a ‘fun’ selection process. “A huge thank you to my team at SpaceX for the most transparent, technically challenging, and FUN interview process,” Quazi stated in his statement.

About Kairan

It was immediately evident that Kairan was not a typical youngster. His mother, Jullia, reportedly said that his fierce temperament showed itself early in an article by The Seattle Times. His parents were amazed to see him speak in complete phrases at age two. It became immediately clear that Kairan was significantly more intelligent and sensitive than his contemporaries.

As Kairan grew older, it became obvious that traditional education could not keep up with his rapid rate of learning. By the time he was in third grade, both his teachers and parents were aware that something needed to happen. Due to this, the Quazi family set out to locate an academic setting that might suit Kairan’s exceptional skills.

At the age of 10, Quazi was able to obtain admission to a community college and an internship at Intel Labs as an AI research co-op fellow.

Kairan enrolled at Santa Clara University to pursue a computer science and engineering degree at 11. At 14, Kairan is now reflecting on his time in college, which he calls the best period of his life.

While serving as a senior senator in the Associated Student Government, he joined the esteemed Association for Computer Machinery. Ahmed Amer, Kairan’s academic adviser, was in awe of Kairan’s unquenchable need for knowledge. He was always willing to go deeply into the course subject and posed thoughtful questions that even the most experienced teachers found impressive.

Well, no doubt such intelligence is god-gifted. But using God’s gift to the fullest is always in our hands. Kudos to Kairan for his skills. What do you think about this? Do you also wish to join SpaceX?
