Who Is Stephen Termini?
Stephen Termini, a 57-year-old, is a resident of Buffalo, NY. He worked several odd jobs for a year to fund his dream vacation to his family’s homeland, Dublin, Ireland. The incident took place on Wednesday, July 19. Reportedly, the former was walking on Dublin’s Stone Streets. The area where he was viciously kicked and beaten to a coma. Stephen Termini may lose one of his eyes and suffer lifelong disability as a consequence of the attack.
The family is in a state of shock and heartbroken over the attack. They remembered Termini being over the moon about his trip. Stephen Termini was a proud Irish American who also spoke about the importance of their heritage. Additionally, the trip was his way to honor his family. He even tried to save every penny to go to Ireland.
A Life-Altering Moment
After the attack, Stephen Tremini’s son created a GoFundMe. The fundraiser was made to render financial aid for the family, which has now raised more than $91,000, surpassing the goal of $10,000. Moreover, the money will help Stephen to fight for his life in Ireland. The fundraiser further added that Stephen couldn’t attend his mother’s funeral in Ireland and has been saving ever since to visit his mother’s final resting place.
The attackers still remain unidentified. They appeared before a special sitting of the children’s court in Ireland. Furthermore, they are remanded on bail until a hearing on Thursday, July 27.
Meanwhile, the family is overwhelmed with joy and gratitude by people’s generosity on GoFundMe, which has enabled his family to visit Stephen in Ireland.
The Ireland officials condemned the attack and have called for more police presence around the city. Further added, there should be no excuse for violence on the streets.
