Baba Siddique was a vital leader of the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP. He was shot dead around 9:30 PM on Saturday outside his son’s office. He was rushed to Leelavati Hospital, but he died during the treatment. His son Zeeshan is the MLA of Bandra East. The two people were arrested, and according to the reports, a 9.9 MM pistol was used for the shooting and hitting at the possible contract killing.
The Mumbai Police is still investigating the case, including the personal animosity and political killing. Police officials are looking for the possibility of the involvement of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Siddique shares close ties with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who has received threats from the Bishnoi gang over his participation in the 1999 blackbuck poaching case.

Baba Siddique was a politician. He joined Congress as a teenager. In February he quit his party of 48 years and joined Ajit Pawar’s NCP. The politician is known for his grand Iftar parties. Many big Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and others attended his parties.
Who Killed Baba Siddique?
As per the reports, Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang today claimed the responsibility for killing Baba Siddique. On social media, the responsibility for the murder was taken by Bishnor’s gang. Notably, Baba Siddique enjoyed close ties with Bollywood actors like Salman Khan, who has been on the hit list of the Bishnoi gang since 1999. Police have enhanced Salman Khan’s security since he received the threats.
The post shared in Hindi conveyed, “Salman Khan, we never wanted this war, but you caused harm to our brother. Today, whether it’s under the respect of Baba Siddique’s protection or an act of doubt. During that time, the purpose was to link Anuj Tapan and Dawood with Bollywood, politics, and property dealings resulting from his death. We have no personal grudges from anyone, but anyone who helps Salman Khan and Dawood will clarify their accounts. Any harm comes to our brother. We will surely respond though we never attacked first Jai Shree Ram, Jai Bharat salute to the Martyrs.”
Shooters Got Arrested
In the Baba Siddique death case, the two shooters were arrested, a man from Haryana and one from UP. Gurmail Baljeet Singh, 23, from Haryana, and Dharam Raj Kashyap, 19, old from Uttar Pradesh, were arrested while the third remains to run out. The arrested accused revealed that the third shooter’s name was Shiv Kumar. Sources suggested that Shiv Kumar was leading the murder conspiracy.
Why Is The Bishnoi Gang Targeting Salman Khan?
Salman Khan has been at the top of the gang hit list after he was named as the prime accused in the blackbuck poaching case. The community to which Lawrence belongs considers the black buck a sacred animal. In the disclosure statement recorded before, Lawrence Bishnoi confessed that Salman Khan is on his hit list. Earlier, many incidents were done by the Bishnoi gang. For instance, a few months ago, shots were fired outside the residence of Punjab singer AP Dhillon in Vancouver. The gang was reportedly upset when the singer released a music video featuring Salman Khan.
